What is Algebra?

Maths has long been one of the virtually frightening subjects in American classrooms. Although students in other countries graduate with excellence in maths, many of the standard high school age students in the United States scratch their heads when presented with questions about converting fractions to decimals, converting measures and units, solving fractional inequalities, or solving radical equations. This situation is widespread across the United States. Algebra is such a wide-encompassing array of different mathematical equations that it is easy for a student to get lost when asked to explain synthetic division or adding radicals . For that matter, algebra is largely based on using letters to substitute for numbers. While this isn’t highly complicated in and of itself, it brings itself poorly to the ‘jump in and play’ view of some math. Simply speaking, if a individual is supposed to execute a certain algebraic task, he or she should be aware of the algebraic tasks that led to it. This is to say that Algebra is a procedure that takes mastery of every step in order to advance. A pupil can’t hope for finding square root radicals and roots when he or she has not mastered proportions and ratios, or converting measures and units.

Technological Assistance for Algebra:

While this is not a recent occurrence, it seems that mathematics grades have slipped even further in recent years. This possibly caused by many reasons, but no result comes out of finger pointing. Lately, there have been extracurricular aids on the market to aid students groom mathematical skills when out of the class. What little software or program there was, more geared towards helping younger students grasp the concepts of arithmetic. Fortunately, the market for such a product has coincided with the technology necessary, permitting an influx of ‘algebra software program‘ or ‘algebra solver‘ programs that permit the mastery of algebra to anyone who is equipped with primary computer knowledge.

Algebra Solvers:

There are various algebra calculators available and they vary depending on for what they have been developed for. Some may offer such features as graphing a circle, or solving simultaneous equations, but may not have the computer programming needed for solving exponential equations or adding exponents . The users are suggested to evaluate these algebra software upon purchase, although almost all these software packages promote their features. The best bet for anybody who is interested in computer help for subtracting rational expressions or converting decimals to fractions; fundamentally, whatever particular need you would have, is to search on the Internet for the product which the user is interested in purchasing.

Wake up every day and do your best to smile. This sounds so simple and cheesy. Let’s first take a look into what this will do. It will set your own mood for the day. If you look in the mirror and smile as big as you can you will see yourself in a happy state, after that you can say “this is going to be a great day”. Pick your posture up and bull back your shoulders and take a deep breath in and you will be so surprised at how great you feel.

This not only helps yourself it will help others. When you walk into your work and see others with this bright and energetic happiness, they can find themselves feeling better. You can be the one who sets the tone and leads others. Instead of having a boring and tired day, it can be a day full of fun and enjoyment. There will be stress full things that come up; you could always help lower stress by using Acceletrim and doing this exercise each and every day. Others will be less likely to be tired and worn down when you are smiling and in their presence all full of energy and positive. This can accomplish by taking five minutes each morning and smiling and saying the right things to yourself.

It seems to be that every time I open up a magazine I notice an advert for the most current disco in the city, or the latest musical. The city of London is full of life, the people here are fantastic, the nightlife is unbelievable and the stores are heaving with residents spending their hard earned money.

When I first arrived in the place, the first thing I did was head down to Bond Street and pick myself up a denim shirt. The next thing I did was put on my new outfit that I bought and head out to Angel to party till the early hours. This cycle of spending and partying seems to be taken up by the majority of 30 year old Londoners. The fantastic thing about London is it has the best Past Life Regression sessions available from Anne Jirsch.

I am of course amazed at the services that are on offer in London, I recently went to see a past life regressionist who regressed me back to a past life; of course I was a king. Wild and shocking but real apparently, and I am consistently interested on how tons of successful Londoners have their own personal trainers and life coaches. These Londoners are always running all over achieving and making lots of cash, wonder if life coaching will be for me. And of course lets not forget fabulous Soho and all the sex toy shops, you will constantly happen upon an obscene looking vibrator in the store window. Book hypnosis in london online. Have fun with Sex Bomb.

“I have learned that most regrets come from the things I DIDN’T do. I have learned that regret lasts forever.” Simply Brilliant

Procrastination…putting off what you can do today until tomorrow…7 years, 5 months, and 2 days later you’re wondering why you never started that book. It would have been done by now and you would be reaping the rewards. Writing would be your full-time pleasure now. You can see yourself sitting on the garden patio of your dream home surrounded by towering palm trees and luxurious flowers. You look across the Pacific as the ocean air gently blows across your face. The phone rings. Your latest book made the Best Seller List. Funny how in regret the vision is always bright and sunny, and in procrastination its doom and gloom. You say to yourself, “No one will ever want to read my book. No one will ever publish my book”. What if you could switch that picture so you are pulled towards the vision like it was a magnet. The vision will be there. Why not create it sooner rather than later. Procrastination results in stress, poor health, and regrets that last a lifetime. Taking action leads to fulfillment, life experience, and wisdom. So read on to discover how to break through procrastination, take action, and make things happen.

Step 1- Where in your life are you procrastinating? Is it the appropriate decision to delay or irrational postponement? Choose one project that you want to stop procrastinating on.

Step 2- Discover the source in order to create a solution. Consider when your car doesn’t start. You look for the source of the problem. When you find the source it is easy to take action to make the repair. Look behind procrastination to find what is stopping you. It may be an unpleasant task, lack of interest, someone else’s goal, a large overwhelming project, fear, poor time management, or indecision. When you discover the source you are one step closer to making a change. Congratulations!

Step 3- Based on the source decide if this is a goal you want to keep. If so, choose a strategy that makes you more comfortable. The following examples will get your creative juices flowing. Choose what is right for you. You will have to develop new habits. Best to create habits you want vs. what someone else wants for you. Discover the source and set the strategy up in a way that you know you will take action. Here are some possible sources and solutions:

An Unpleasant Task/ Lack of Interest- Schedule it at the beginning of the day so it is not hanging over your head all day long. Think of how great you will feel to have it done. Reward yourself when you follow through.

Someone Else’s Goal- Set a boundary…say no or accept only the part of the job that you feel good about. If you can not say no (ex. employment situation) then you may choose to follow the above solution.

A Large Overwhelming Project- Break it down into small manageable tasks. What part can you do? What part can you delegate? What is the first small step you know you can do right now?

Lack of Focus Due to Multiple Projects- Prioritize the projects then break them down into small manageable tasks as in the step above. Focus on completion of one project at a time.

Fear- What is the fear telling you? Is it legitimate or the product of an irrational assumption. Usually what we anticipate never happens. If you need to stand up to your fear then visualize a positive end result. Use affirmations and visualization to break through the fear. Focus on how great you will feel simply for having the courage to try. You gain strength, wisdom, and confidence from each experience.

Poor Time Management- Schedule a block of time daily or weekly to work specificly on this project. Keep these appointments. Begin with small blocks of time (an amount of time you can commit) until you are consistantly keeping your appointments. Then you can add more time.

Indecision- When you don’t know what to do set a deadline to make up your mind. Then get whatever support and information you need to be able to make an educated decision.

Step 4- Come from a positive place. Think of that positive picture that shows up in regret, and allow that picture to pull you towards it now. Know that you are an amazing person who is completely capable when you prepare, get the help you need, and use the resources available to you. Focus on how great you will feel for having followed through step by step no matter what the result. Afterall…it is through the expedition that the great and memorable moments occur!

Breath in through your nose and draw your breath down into the area just below your navel, allowing your stomach to expand as you breath (Baby Breath) and filling your lungs entirely with each breath before exhaling through your nose. Breathing is the MOST important part of meditation and Kundalini Awakening.
From our birth until death we breathe more or less continually, yet for the most part we do it without any awareness of our breath and its effects on us, and believe it or not most people in the western world do it wrong!
Take a moment right now and feel your breath. Pay attention to the air as it flows in through your nostrils and down into your lungs. Don’t think about anything or do anything other than just breathe.
1. Are you taking a relatively shallow breath and just filling the upper lobes of your lungs?
2. Does your stomach move out as you breathe?
3. Do you feel the bones of your ribcage expanding and opening with each breath?
For most people the answer to 1 is YES and the answers to 2 and 3 are NO so lets expand this exercise a bit.
Take a moment right now and feel your breath. Pay attention to the air as it flows in through your nostrils and down into your lungs. Don’t think about anything or do anything other than just breathe.
Draw your breath down to a point about 2 inches below your navel (the body’s center of gravity). When you do this you’ll feel your stomach expand and push out in front of you. Most westerners usually keep their stomach pulled in and their chest out, so if you do this you’ll have to relax all that.
Just take a moment and be aware of your breath as it flows down into your center.
Now as you inhale and draw your breath down, also let your ribcage expand. You’ll feel your floating ribs at the bottom of your ribcage spread and move, and you may get a few pops out of your spine also. Now just take a few moments and breathe this way. Don’t think or let your mind wander, just breathe.
If you’ve never meditated before then congratulations, you just did! It’s exactly that simple.
There are many benefits to proper breathing. The extra oxygen in your system means that your heart doesn’t have to beat as fast, lowering your pulse and your blood pressure. Drawing the breath down into your center also helps to massage your internal organs, providing more oxygen to them as well as helping to release the accumulated stresses that build up there. The long term health benefits are immeasurable and have been repeatedly proven for thousands of years.
Breathing is by far the most important part of the kundalini awakening exercises, although it sounds so simple. Paying attention to the breath is the beginning of opening up your awareness and it’s seen in every culture on the planet.
Take some time to practice this, as it’s the foundation for everything that comes next. If you have to dedicate your meditation time to breathwork for awhile then that’s good, as we all proceed at our own pace.
I recently read a translation of some of Jesus’ teachings from the original Aramaic (the language he actually spoke, although he apparently wasn’t literate) and it was very interesting to me that in Aramaic they used the same word for ‘wind’, ‘breath’ and ’spirit’. Those with a Chi Kung background might find it interesting to take another look at the New Testament and insert the word ‘breath’ every time you see the word ’spirit’.

Breaking the cycle is a term we have all heard. Especially if we come from a family (and these days who doesn’t) that has a history of some type of violence and/or drug abuse whereas this phrase is told to us over and over. “Yes, you were dealt a bad hand in life. Life is not fair. But the best thing you can do is raise your head and break the cycle of violence in your life”.

It seems to me that “break the cycle” has to do with some type of horrific traumatizing event that may have been re-occurring for many years (abuse of a spouse or child) or a one time unexpected event (a mugging or rape that leaves a life long scar).

What if there is another cycle that is not so “in your face” apparent, but rather a silent cycle that is not recognized anymore as it is a universal disease that no one really notices anymore. What if dying an uncelebrated life is a cycle all of its own?

As I have been trying to break my own cycle of work, home, sleep, work, home, sleep after countless years, which can lead to nothing but contempt, bitterness and anger, I am trying to break the cycle of teaching this very learned behavior to my son.

I have the thoughts lately (seems to be all the time now) that life is not forever. It could actually be gone tomorrow. Did I waste today? I may not have found the cure for Aids or cancer or war, but did I make someone smile today? Did I have some type of positive influence on someone’s life, even if it was just my own? Did I enjoy the sunrise?

My son came bounding down the stairs the other day looking for a battery. He recently received a metal detector for his birthday. Seeing as he is so in love with money at this stage of his life he could not wait to get that baby warmed up. He told tales of finding wild amounts of hidden treasures as only a young child could possibly imagine and what he would do with his massive new bounty.

“I would give 500 hundred to Gramps; I would put 500 hundred in the bank; I would keep 200 hundred for myself; I would give 200 hundred to the house and I would give all the rest to the poor people.”

My heart filled with joy with the fact that “I would buy the best video game systems and all the video games I want for the rest of my life”, (which is what we used to dream about) didn’t come out of his mouth. Houston, we may be making progress here.

I have vowed to raise my son with respect. Respect for people, respect for women and respect for himself. We step aside on the sidewalk for adults and most especially women. We open the door for others and most especially women. We treat other people and their property with respect as we would expect the same from them.

When I mention an uncelebrated life, I don’t mean a life that deserves the “medal of honor” but a life of love, happiness and laughter.

When the heck did I turn 33? I turned 33 while working to pay the bills and while trying to “make something of myself”. Now I know that I am something and I have always been something. I am something all my own and unique to me that no one else but me can be and what a shame it is that I don’t share myself with the world (or in a smaller more likely circle, my friends and family). My special brand of something has been lost in the quest to make more money, get a better house, and get a better car, so I can actually be a worthy adult and satisfied with my station in life. What a load of bull!

Now I am satisfied with my station (my house, my car, my job) and anything else that comes along is a bonus and how lucky am I? What I have to do now is find the full potential of my special something and how can I apply it to the people around me for the greater good?

Now, I have lost a lot of years with the false notion that what you have is what you are, so I have to hurry my process up a bit if I want to get a good 20-30 years of making a difference, but my son is young. And young people have the most valuable commodity known to man. They have youth. Youth meaning, energy, imagination and invincibility.

It is up to me now to not beat this most wonderful trait out of him by saying, “do good in school so you can go to college, so you can get a good job, so you can have a nice house, so you can marry the perfect wife, so you can have a huge mortgage and massive credit car debt so the by the time your 40 you hate your life”. I think you get the picture.

Deepak Chopra said in one of his books that he told his children not to worry about school and not to worry about money. That he would provide for them no matter what. They were to just concentrate on that one thing that makes them special. Of course, they went to the best colleges and have wonderful jobs and became successful. He has broken the cycle. Thank you, Deepak. I, too, wish to break this cycle.

I wish for my son to go on and find the reason why he is here on this earth, or at the very least what can he contribute that no one else can so when he is nearing the end of his life he can look back and say “Damn I am going to miss this life. It was fun!”

Bracelets - those tiny colorful ornaments that we wear on our wrists and occasionally on the upper arm or even the whole forearm - have been with us since the Palaeolithic man!

Surely something that has followed man since the Palaeolithic times and has continued to stay as popular as ever is something that we ought to sit up and take notice. After all, unless it has value or adds to the well being of man, it would have been long abandoned and left to oblivion.

Now, the earliest forms of bracelets were perforated shell and diverse animal teeth worn by the Palaeolithic man. Needless to say, those big gigantic teeth of an animal that he has hunted and slaughtered would have cut a great scene. Perhaps. the larger the teeth, the higher value Palaeolithic man would have pegged to his bracelet.

The Egyptians were master craftsmen in forging early metal bracelets, which were often plain, sometimes incomplete circles and sometimes hinged. These bracelets were the ornaments of royalty. In China, jade bracelets were popular, and chinese bracelets were often made of inlaid wood. Again, jade was the precious stone in demand until there was an emperor called the Jade Emperor.

Gold and twisted metal wire made an appearance in Greece from the Minoan period, with precious stones. The form of bracelets take on new appearance then as spiral shapes became popular and has the ends decorated with the heads of animals, especially the snake. The Romans took bracelets a step further by wearing them to battle, as a sign of bravery, while the common romans wore heavy bracelets, decorated with coins and jewellery and sometimes wearing them at the ankles.

The Mogul Emperors of India were famous for their bracelets as part of their royal regalia. The evolution of design continued until the bracelets became more fanciful,

Modern bracelets maintain the shapes, are light and flexible to adjust to the demanding times. Today’s modern women are even wearing wrist watches as a form of bracelets. On the other side of modernism, tribal groups still wear fetish materials of goats hair, bird feathers, marble stones to twisted copper wire to twined and plaited vegetable fibre.

So why has the bracelets continued to surge in popularity throughout the ages?

Firstly, as a personal ornament, bracelets add color and variety to the person wearing it. It is as much a personal statement of fashion as it is a projection of the personality of the wearer. Many use the bracelets to project his or her beliefs, and moods.

Bracelets also are representations of authority and ownership. We therefore see certain groups of people of similar interest wearing a special type or range of bracelets to indicate camaderie and membership. We also stamp our ownership by attaching bracelets on to newly born babies. Entry to certain establishments require the stamping of a ink bracelet or ink mark - all these are in part to establish control and membership.

Those with sickness and ill-health will find bracelets to be useful. Bracelets can contain useful health history and blood types and specific medication required by the patient.

The theory and principles of the aged old chinese “feng shui” - the study of the harmonics of wind, water, wood, metal and fire suggests a blending of personal beliefs to the practise of wearing special crystals, gemstones and jade. These become amulets to ward off evil and sickness and bring good health and prosperity.

Use the green color jade as a stamp of authority. After all, the seal of authority of the Emperor of China was made from jade, and the Empress and his concubines were all lovers of jade bracelets and ankle bracelets. Jade being green brings a calming influence to your life, and talks of green pastures. You will not go wrong with a green jade bracelet. Green suggests forest and where the world is so full of stress, the harmonics of feng shui suggests a need to add the wood (forest) element to many lives; so wearing a jade bracelet or a bracelet with inlaid jade or green gemstones will assists in this mystical balance of feng shi.

Are you looking for love? Take a “love” bracelet and let it work its magic! Pink crysals formed into a nice bracelet can be worn to “attract” love. Are you in a happy mood? Go, grab a colorful wrist band bracelet to tell the whole world that you are on cloud nine!

Bookmakers and Gambling Fortunes and Online Games09 May 2009 12:35 am

My friend Jack contacts me on the telephone to tell me that he’s discovered some on-line gambling internet sites that I must have to check. I’ve never really been heavily into gambling, but I figured okey, I must give it a try out. And Then I tried out some black jack and poker, but truthfully, they simply are not my cup of tea. And Then I see these online elottery web sites and I figure that all over cyberspace I can take part in lots of other lotteries around the Earth. Right Away to me this appears a heap more enjoyment, therefore I thought I would give it a trial run. Initially I tried out my luck at euro millions, you know a European lottery. I picked my e-lottery numbers and awaited and imagined that I will win it big. I didn’t on that endeavor but when the euro millions numbers came out; I was highly surprised to see that I had in reality come really near to the winning lotto numbers. I tested out a few other lotteries, but I felt that I did come so near the first time on the euro millions, that I just had to give it one more shot. Now to date, I haven’t scooped a bucket load of dollars, but, I have scooped some money, so I continue to play the euro millions and picking lotto numbers, going for the big break. I am one of those people who like to believe in the possibility of hitting the jackpot, because it is hard to reckon making that kind of money any other way.

As for my acquaintance, he still stays on with his love of online gambling and finds himself at the online gambling casino for at least an hour at a time. He too has won some money, but it is up and down and the difference is, when you lose at gambling you normally lose a lot but then, when you lose at the lotto, it doesn’t cost you as near as much. I think that the lotto is the only path for me to go and the thought of hitting the jackpot and on top of that, it is only costing me just a few dollars “makes it all more appealing”.
