Obtaining School Scholarships for Southpaws
It isn’t simple to find a college bursary at the moment. These scholarships differ from a student loan because these are a grant for your education, so it does not need to be paid off. As you look for methods of funding your further education, research some of the more different choices, for example left hander grants. Funding for Lefties
A lefty scholarship may at first seem out of the norm, but it’s worth considering these facts: Albert Einstein was left handed, as is Barack Obama. Raphael, Da Vinci, Paul McCartney not to mention were southpaws as well. Current figures suggest 11% of people are southpaws. Often believed to be more talented artistically and to be smarter, left handers have frequently been the victims of discrimination. Stigmatization is not a problem any longer and left handers are no longer considered to be different, and may have some things associated with the famous individuals noted previously. If you’re left handed and researching grants specifically for left-handed students, numerous left handed scholarships exist which you could acquire. The Beckley Scholarship for anything up to a thousand dollars is presently available at Juniata College in Huntington, PA. Granted to scholars attending Juniata College and established in 1979, this grant has helped forty plus southpaws in their quest for a college degree. Numerous grants may have requirements and limitations. This can be grade requirements or monetary needs, but not in every case. Apply for as many college scholarships as feasible to give you a better opportunity of backing a college degree acquiring a minimal level of debt. Clubs, hobby related groups and community organizations may provide college grants. Scholarships for southpaw scholars are simply one case; funding is likewise accessible if you’re the child of a member of the military or are disabled, for instance.
You will probably need to invest quite a bit of effort exploring university funding, but the rewards will be valuable. Any debt generated by a college education can be cut back via such funds utilized alongside a student loan. Ensure you research each opportunity. Be aware the alternative options in addition to lefty scholarships — be creative! If you think you may be suitable, then go for it, keeping any debt minimal, and you will be facing a more positive career future after graduation.

Our Family Just Got ATT Uverse
My husband and I saw a tech outside my neighbors putting in ATT Uverse so I quizzed him on all the bugs I had heard about the service (freezing, video probs, etc…) he advised me that we wouldn’t have to be concerned about it since there is a fiber optic line just across the street but he has had some problems when the line is much further. I made up my mind to give it a go as I wanted all the extra features and I couldn’t be happier.
I followed the tech’s hints and took some time to search for ATT Uverse partners and found some sites providing ATT Uverse deals. Completely more enticing than the savings at AT&T stores or the salesmen knocking at the door (no price cuts).
The service is amazing, picture is awesome and do not forget to keep your eye on the mail box for the rebate cards as they appear to be trash and I’m sure a lot of folks have thrown them in the trash without opening them. I guess that’s kind of the purpose of the cash back. into purchasing their service and at the same time forget to actually use their discount. Don’t forget about this! Their bundle is totally worth the switch, without the cash back but it would be stupid to throw dough in the trash.

Crutches can be used to help assist people in regaining thei
Today there are so many products on the market to help people get around. Crutches are a support mechanism used by people whose own ability to support themselves has diminished. In addition, many post operative patients find that a piece of medical equipment like crutches can greatly assist them in rehabilitation and in gaining a sense of independence. Crutches have become a common piece of medical equipment stocked by many medical supplies outlets.
There are so many varieties of crutches to choose from today. There are wooden crutches and forearm crutches. All are sturdy and solid and built with safety foremost in mind. Post operative patients quickly realize the durability and necessity of using crutches to help them get around and begin building up their muscles.
Some people require the use of only one of their crutches (which makes it more like a cane) while most people need to use both of their crutches to get around after breaking a leg. One important consideration when choosing crutches is the comfort of the underarm cushion. The crutches must be sized for your individual height and should be comfortable to use.

Body Talk
Body Talk
Our body “talks” to us through negative signals such as aches and pains, as well as through positive signals such as higher energy levels, feelings of exhilaration and well being. These signals are a lifeline to healthy eating and exercise choices.
For instance, when you have the flu, your body says, “let’s shut down and chill”. Letting your body fight the flu virus can help you get back to your active life more quickly. When you “rest” you allow your body to devote its attention to fighting the flu.
When you’re very tired, your body is saying, “Stay put.” If we push ourselves drowsiness can set in and accidents can happen while we work out. You don’t have the “energy” to focus; you become dangerous to yourself and others.
When your body says, “I am soooo sore!” your body is saying it needs a break. Personal trainers will tell you that recovery from exercise is just as important as the exercise regime itself. Overtraining can be as bad as under training. Your body needs time to metabolize the byproducts of exercise, and to rebuild damaged tissue.
There are other signals that don’t come from our bodies but, rather our fickle moods, feelings and impulses. They get us confused and off-track. For instance when you notice it is cold and damp outside, you tell yourself it is “okay” to miss a workout. Even on these days you can still beef up your cardio by vacuuming, mopping, running up and down the stairs or just jumping rope in your patio.
“Oops, ran out of time,” is another classic excuse. If we learn to combine things we want or need to do with exercise it becomes much more fun. Going on date to play tennis, taking a family hike or conducting a business meeting during a long walk with your client are just of few of the ways to get exercise while accomplishing another task.
“My program is on TV now,” is another poor excuse for not exercising. It would not be the worse thing in the world to tape your show and watch later, especially without those commercials. When you make a deal with yourself to do a part of your workout, you typically end up completing your whole routine. The reward is that you have exceeded your expectations and now you can watch your show without feeling guilty.
Another common non-excuse is “a spa or gym membership just costs too much.” You can actually spend much less on a monthly membership than you do on blended coffee drinks in a month. The gym is better for you and you will feel a true sense of accomplishment each day.
“I never lose weight when I exercise” is another bad excuse that can lead us to lethargy. The key is not to focus only at the scale but also your heart rate, muscle mass and how your clothes are fitting. In resistance training, as you exercise, fat cells can be replaced by lean muscle mass.
Taking time out to exercise may upset our flow and daily comforts, but taking 3 days off may cause us to backslide. After 72 hours our resting heart rate begins to return to where it was when we first began
exercising months ago.
Regardless of whether your mood is saying, “I am bored, I don’t want to work out alone”, or “I drove too much this week”, your body is still sending you signals to move rest and challenge yourself. The key is to learn to pay attention to those signals and not be swayed by your excuses. If you went to the gym straight from work twice a week,
Then worked out at home the other nights, you will slowly experience how much more your body feels exhilarated and how much more you are listening to what it really needs.

With spring in the air or possibly winter soon disappearing nowdays is the time to put away the winter apparel and take out the flip flops! It is also the choice to rekindle or reanimate whether it be yourself or possibly some condominium. Sweet-smelling 1 are a fantastic tactic to usher in a regenerated season. It can be time to put away those pumpkin spice & pine Sweet-smelling 1 and welcome the new essences of a season. Florals or perhaps fruity scents are also what you can smell at the moment. Body and Facial Skin Care during Winter
Are you having trouble with maintaining your skin care during the the harsh winter season? Welcome to the club! But do not fret since there are still very practical ways for a perfect skin care even during winter.
The activities of your mind and body are governed by three psycho-physiological energies known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha, as per the philosophies of ayurveda. Having perfet balance of this three energies is important for your good health. Once even one of these energies became imbalanced, your health may suffer.
Further, these three energies are associated with a season. Vata, which qualities are dry, rough and cool, rides higher than usual in most people’s physiologies during winter. Once mid-October to mid-February comes, Vata begin to show signs into people’s physiologies. This is the time when we feel that our skin is dry and flaky. We feel the experience of having disappointingly chapped lips and dry, brittle hair. So, once these manifestations begin to annoy you, you will soon experience more aggravating conditions. Your skin may be the worse hit.
This is the time when you should be “armed” with the knowledge of important ways to keep Vata dosha in balance. These ways will prevent Vata-associated skin problems that may occur during the winter season. So take not of the following and be well-guided:
1.Do not expose your skin to freezing temperatures and drying cold winds that are usually the elements brought about by the harsh winter. You can prevent exposure by dressing warmly in layers and wearing a hat, scarf and gloves whenever you have to go out during cold weathers. Natural lip balm should be used to protect your lips from drying. If you have none available, a light layer of ghee or clarified better will do.
2.Using a rich, natural moisturizer will protect your facial skin from cold winds and dry air of heaters. You can apply this at least twice a day. Remember to apply it after cleansing though.
3.If you have a naturally dry facial and body skin, give it additional lipid support by doing oil replenishment about three or four times a week. A nourishing base oil like almond can be a good option.
4.During winter, do a routine pre-bath warm oil self-massage to keep your skin silky smooth and tones the muscles. It will also help to calm nerves and aid in circulation. Almond or sesame oil are very much recommended for use in this kind of massage.
5.To prevent the dryness and cracking of your feet’s skin, which tends to occur more during winter, give your feet a relaxing soak at night about three times a week. You can use a large, wide-mouthed bowl with warm water for a quick foot bath. Then, rub herbal lotion, some shea butter or almond oil on your feet after the soak.
6.if your skin is very dry, it is not recommended to bathe more than once a day. Warm water is ideal temperature for a bathe or shower and it is gentler for the skin. Do not use very hot water.
Aside from these skin care tactics, eating the right foods that would help in nourishing the skin and drinking lots of water are among the best and original ways of facial and body skin care. By doing a holistic approach in caring for your skin, you will surely get the best results. -30-

Blogging: Don’t Knock It ‘Til You Rock It!
My daughter, Kristin, 21, poked fun at me last week for blogging. “Mom, aren’t most bloggers, like, 15-years-old?” But something about my blog grabbed her interest. In fact, a week later, she joined my weblog community.
Her first blog post was a little tentative:
“What’s the saying? Don’t knock it ’til you rock it (or something to that effect). So here goes…hmm…..this is hard…Because I am a little skeptical of who may be reading this I’ll just start out simple.”
A blog (short for “weblog”) is an online diary or journal. It’s a little unnerving to post journal entries on a public blog, not knowing who may read them.
The first week that I blogged, I edited myself to death because I was worried about what people would think about my “real” life. To further add to my paranoia, others started posting comments to my entries, so I knew people were out there . . . reading.
So, are blogs true journals or not?
My first thought was “no.” Blogging seemed more like a conversation with friends than personal journaling. After all, personal journaling is all about recording private thoughts and blogs are public.
However, my thoughts about blogging are changing. A little at a time, I reveal who I am through my blog. My blog posts are evolving into thoughts and observations about life that I no longer self-edit. It’s been a liberating experience.
In my personal journal, I write things that I know to be true about myself that I’m unable to reveal for one reason or another. Once I’m done journaling, I tuck the journal in a drawer, put on my mask and go out into the world.
Not being true to who I really am causes all kinds of problems in my relationships. Further, if my behavior doesn’t line up with my values, it keeps me from meeting important goals, growing spiritually and compromises my physical and mental health.
It’s important to keep a personal journal for my eyes only - I always will. But integrating some of the thoughts I record in my journal with my public blog is peeling away layers of self-consciousness and tentativeness.
I knew I was a true blogger when I re-read a blog post and, instead of editing it, I thought, “This is who I am, and, hey, I’m okay!”
My new philosophy as a blogger is: The closer I can get to integrating my true self into my public self, the better off I am. And, of course, “Don’t knock it ’til you rock it!”
