It Is Time to Substitute Chaotic Passwords with Fingerprint Scanning
How could anybody possibly remember all those passwords and PINs for his or her many personal accounts? On last consolidation, I have near 100 that supposedly to be distinctive from one another. They usually say that your password should have a range of numbers, lowercase letters and upper case letters. Additionally you are not supposed to write down the passwords and PIN numbers, rather, you should just be reliant on your brain to store them, this proves to be a real challenge to me. How possibly do you expect me to recall my 15 different PIN numbers for all my credit and debit cards. I found a ingenuous way when I started masking my PINs with the first digits of my mobile number, followed by my actual PIN, life has since become less erratic, it is excellent, give it a try!Passwords, although keeping your accounts safe also are very easy to get wrong even if you are the legitimate account holder. I recently forgot my Amazon password and what a headache I had to try and get it back. Usually, a simple password reset would get you out of trouble for other websites, but Amazon insists on messy user experience. They freeze your account and you have to access Amazon from someone elses account or create a new one just to be able to reset your original account. I’m sure they are not the only major website to utilize such a technique. Then on the other end of the spectrum, I can use my telephone banking service with Lloyds with the most bizarre of security checks, infact when I cancelled a card which I thought was missing (it infact turned up 10 minutes once I had terminated) they only requested me for my postcode! Then when calling back 10 days later to chase up the card which been sent to the wrong address, because they didn’t check my address was correct on their computer system when cancelling it, they only quizzed me my name, considering that I was changing my address so that a new card could be sent out, with the same PIN number, I could have been any person! With the shortfalls of passwords and PINs system, it is evident that fingerprint screening or ocular scanning is the alternative in instilling public confidence on security checks, as for me, I look forward to the days when I don’t need to remember my strings of passwords!
